ARTIST’S NOTE

Poetry encompasses liminal worlds. It is found places where more is understood than what is said, and where the emotions speak louder than words. When seen and felt, heard and read, poetry resonates deep within us. Even though we may not be literate in its language, we know it all the same.

Everywhere I go, I find myself surrounded by poetry. When I pause and pay attention to the natural world, it reveals itself in all its wonder and majesty. The more I practice looking, the more I see. I become the seeker that Rumi spoke of – what I seek is seeking me. My work is a conversation with the beauty around me.

“ Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
